Description

The National Gallery has been going since the early nineteenth century and has grown larger and grander over time. A huge variety of treasures are on display from classical artists through to impressionist works including some of the World’s most famous pieces from artists such as Van Gogh, Turner, Cezanne, Monet and more.

It’s free to enter so you can spend as much or as little time as you wish, and it’s location on Trafalgar Square makes for a great atmosphere especially if the weather is good. Note that you will be asked to make a voluntary donation when you enter.

At weekends in the Summer there are free events for kids (5-12s) which encourage creativity in art workshops, but be sure to get there early.
